Rampling to Make British Stage Debut

Charlotte Rampling, star of many films both from Britain and Europe for almost forty years, is to make her UK stage debut at the National Theatre in May. She is to appear in Jonathan Kent's production of Marivaux’s The False Servant in a new version by Martin Crimp, which opens at the Cottesloe on 1st June (previews from 26th May). She will be joined in the cast by Lia Willams, David Collings and Adrian Scarborough. Her first film appearance was in The Knack (and How to Get It) in 1965.

In other RNT casting news, Samuel Barnett and Richard Griffiths, join Frances De La Tour in Alan Bennett's The History Boys (Lyttelton), which opens on 18th May, after previewing from 8th.

Kate Duchene is to play Clytemnestra in Euripides' Iphigenia At Aulis (also in the Lyttelton), opening on 22nd June (previews from 12th) and Kay Bridgeman, Callum Dixon, Gawn Grainger, Paul Moriarty will star in Roy Williams' Sing Yer Heart Out For The Lads (Cottesloe), which opens on 30th April (previews from 23rd).
