ROH Link Is TM's Preferred Option A link up with the Royal Opera House is the preferred option of the Theatre Museum's trustees, it was announced today after yesterday's meeting to decide on the future of the threatened museum. A spokeswoman for the Victoria and Albert Museum, the parent company of the Theatre Museum, said, "The V&A is still in discussion with the Royal Opera House about a partnership. This would enable the ROH to use the Theatre Museum site to extend its educational activities and events and allow the Theatre Museum to continue to stage displays and educational activities in Covent Garden. The Trustees hope to take a final view on the best way forward by the autumn." The Royal Opera House will now take the proposal to its own trustees and develop the idea further to develop more detailed proposals, which would involve working with other partners such as the Society for London Theatre and the National Theatre. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
