Michael Boyd's production of As You Like It will run in repertoire from 18th April to 3rd October. "I have only spent a week and a half on this, our next idealistic adventure," said Boyd, "and already it feels possible that these forty four actors can achieve more ambitious work in their two and a half years with the RSC than would normallybe possible. Its great to be working again with friends from The Histories ensemble, the recent Hamlet company and other familiar RSC faces together with many artists quite new to the company." Katy Stephens plays Rosalind and Mariah Gale Celia and they are joined by Forbes Masson (Jacques), Jonjo ONeill (Orlando), Geoffrey Freshwater (Corin), Sandy Neilson (Duke Senior) and James Tucker (Sylvius). Richard Katz takes the role of the jester Touchstone and Clarence Smith will play Duke Frederick and Peter Shorey Adam. Also in the cast, and new to the RSC, are David Carr (Charles the wrestler), Dyfan Dwyfor (William), Christine Entwisle (Phebe), James Howard (Second Lord), Ansu Kabia (Le Beau), Debbie Korley (Hisperia), Dharmesh Patel (Forest Lord), Peter Peverley (Dennis), Sophie Russell (Audrey) and James Traherne as (Oliver Martext).
