Tiny Ninja Theater Hamlet publicity image

Squaring Up to Shakespeare

A cast of inch-high plastic ninjas; King Lear transported to a Shanghai penthouse; and a mix of cartoon, film and puppetry, are just some of the surprises that the Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Cube at the RST has to offer this Autumn.

As part of the RSC’s year-long Complete Works Festival, between the 25th October and the 18th November, the auditorium of the main Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RST) will be transformed into a 100 seat studio theatre called The Cube at the RST.

Over the space of four weeks, the studio will play host to theatre companies from the US, China and around the UK, as well as new work inspired by Shakespeare and written by two of the country’s most exciting young playwrights.

The Cube at the RST offers a completely different take on Shakespeare and at £10 per ticket, the programme will appeal to those approaching Shakespeare for the very first time as well as those already familiar with his work who want to broaden their theatrical experience.

25-28 Oct
Rough Magyck
