Hunter Leaves RSC Ensemble Kathryn Hunter has decided to resign from the RSCs current long ensemble, a statement from the actress and Royal Shakespeare Company artistic director Michael Boyd says. "We have not been able to achieve together the full range of ambitions that we shared," they go on. "We share the disappointment that Kathryn will not be with the company for the Roundhouse season and for the remaining life of the company, and continue to share a mutual regard and respect." She will be replaced as the Fool in King Lear by Sophie Russell and and as Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra by Katy Stephens, both of whom have understudied the roles and are fully rehearsed.
