Anthony Neilson

Unexpected RSC Production in Newcastle

On Thursday and Friday 6th and 7th September there will be an unexpected addition to the Royal Shakespeare Company's Newcastle programme when the company presents a new play by Anthony Neilson at Northern Stage.

The play is still in development and will be premiered at the Soho Theatre in November but the RSC is inviting the Newcastle audience to be part of its development. This will be the first time it has been seen by an audience and their feedback will be invited.

Neilson's technique in developing the piece has been to take an idea and a fragment of the script into the rehearsal room and then build it day-by-day with the actors, thus tailoring it to their skills.

Tickets are £5 and can be booked by phoning 0870 905 5060.
