Comedy of Errors A Midsummer Night's Dream
Twelfth Night Sejanus
Believe What You Will A New Way to Please You

The RSC for a Tenner!

For one week only, the Royal Shakespeare Company is offering everyone the chance to see plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre for just £10.

As part of a special Festival Proms Week between Monday 29th August – Saturday 3rd September, 250 of the best tickets will be on offer daily – 150 for performances in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and 100 for performances in the Swan.

Tickets will only be available to those booking in person, and can only be purchased from 9.30am on the day of each performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre box office. Tickets will be limited to two per person. Proms tickets will not be available in advance or by telephone.

The Festival Proms Week will give people the opportunity to see three of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies – The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night (all playing in the RST), and three plays by Shakespeare’s contemporaries in the Swan Theatre – the political dramas Sejanus and Believe What You Will, and the hilarious comedy A New Way To Please You.

This is the third consecutive year the RSC has run a Festival Proms Week, and if past experience is anything to go by, demand for the tickets will be high. During previous proms weeks, people have been known to start queuing from the early hours to make sure they are at the front of the queue for tickets.

Michael Boyd, RSC Artistic Director, said: “The Festival Proms Week is always very popular. It’s a great chance for everyone to experience some of Shakespeare’s best comedies, as well as three rarely performed and highly charged plays in the Swan Theatre.”
