A Modern Dress Richard III The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard III, which will open in the Courtyard Theatre in January, will be in modern dress. Directed by Michael Boyd and using the same ensemble as the Henry VI trilogy which opened in the summer, it will feature Jonathan Slinger as Richard, along with Nicholas Asbury (Murderer/Vaughan), Keith Bartlett (Stanley), Antony Bunsee (Brackenbury), Richard Cordery (Buckingham), Matt Costain (Ratcliffe), Julius DSilva (Catesby), Keith Dunphy (Lovell/Murderer), Wela Frasier (Lord Mayors Attendant/Messenger), Geoffrey Freshwater (Scrivenor/Blunt/Herbert), Paul Hamilton (Oxford), Tom Hodgkins (Hastings), Kieran Hill (Lord Mayor), Chuk Iwuji (Ghost of Henry VI), John Mackay (Tyrell), Forbes Masson (Edward/Priest), Chris McGill (Grey), Patrice Naiambana (Ghost of Warwick), Miles Richardson (Bishop of Ely), Lex Shrapnel (Richmond), Jonathan Slinger (Richard), Geoffrey Streatfeild (Rivers), James Tucker (George of Clarence), Roger Watkins (Archbishop of York), Clive Wood (Ghost of York), Hannah Barrie (Lady Anne), Maureen Beattie (Duchess of York), Ann Ogbomo (Elizabeth), Katy Stephens (Margaret). The production will be designed by Tom Piper and will have lighting by Heather Carson, and sound by Andrea J.Cox, with music by John Woolf and movement by Liz Ranken with fights directed by Terry King.
