West Returns to the RSC Timothy West returns to the Royal Shakespeare Company after an absence of 31 years to play Menenius in Gregory Dorans production of Coriolanus in the RST as part of the RSCs Complete Works Festival in February 2007.
Wests last season with the Company was in 1975 when he played Judge Brack in Trevor Nunns production of Hedda Gabler with Glenda Jackson at the Aldwych theatre, but his last appearance in Stratford was in 1964/5 when he appeared in The Comedy of Errors, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Loves Labours Lost at the RST.
In recent years his son Samuel West has played Richard II and Hamlet in 2000/1 at the RSC and, as part of the Complete Works Festival, he will bring his own production of As You Like It from Sheffield Theatres where he is Artistic Director. This will play in the Swan theatre in March 2007.
Coriolanus runs from 22nd February to 30th March, 2007. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
