Dateline: 22nd April, 2007
The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester has announced its autumn and winter season for 2007 to 2008. The season opens in September with Shakespeare's Henry V directed by Jonathan Munby, with Elliot Cowan in the title role. Following this will be a double bill of plays that were first seen in the Exchange's Studio theatre. Irish comedy The Flags by Bridget O'Connor will be directed by artistic director Greg Hersov with its original Studio cast including Jamie Beamish and Francis Magee. David Williamson's A Conversation will be directed by associate artistic director Jacob Murray. This year's Christmas production will be Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband, from artistic director Braham Murray. The season will close with a revival of Arnold Wesker's classic Roots from associate artistic director Jo Combes. Public booking opens for these productions on 1st May, but season tickets are available now. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
