Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory 2010 Bristol's Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory has announced its 2010 programme: Art to enchant - a season of Shakespearean magic.
It is always exciting to couple plays that illuminate each other," saiys Andrew Hilton, who directs both plays. "A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest arch over almost all of Shakespeares career, the late play revisiting, in a darker mood, magical elements used so effectively in the early comedy. A Midsummer Night's Dream was part of our very first season, ten years ago, and will be the first play we tackle for a second time. The way these plays change, with each new casting, and with one's own shifts in mood and interest, is typically Shakespearian. I can't wait to rediscover it.
Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
