SATTF 2012 Casting

Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory has announced the casting for it 2012 season.

The cast for King Lear, which runs from 15th February (previews from 9th) to 24th March, will be:

Dorothea Myer-Bennett	Regan
Eleanor Yates	Cordelia
Christopher Bianchi	Albany
Byron Mondahl	Cornwall
Simon Armstrong	Kent
Trevor Cooper	Gloucester
Christopher Staines	Edgar
Jack Whitam	Edmund
Dudley Sutton	Lear's Fool
Paul Brendan	Oswald

Also in the cast are Benjamin O'Mahony, Piers Wehner, Danann McAleer, Paul Currier and John Sandeman.

Andrew Hilton directs; Associate Director :Dominic Power; Designer: Harriet de Winton; Composer: Elizabeth Purnell; Lighting Designer:Matthew Graham.

Casting for The Cherry Orchard, which runs from 4th April (previews from 29th March) to 5th May, will be:

Andrew Hilton directs with the same creative team.

There will be bonus performances of Chekhov’s monologue, On the Evils of Tobacco, specially translated by Stephen Mulrine and performed by Paul Brendan, every Wednesday and Friday in the Tobacco Factory foyer after performances of The Cherry Orchard.
