The "Luxuria" company

SDT Finds New Fringe Venue

Scottish Dance Theatre, one of the three companies left homeless at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe by the closure of the main house at the Gateway Theatre (see our story), has found another venue for the perfprmances of Liv Lorent's Luxuria.

Artistic Director Janet Smith is delighted to announce the company will perform Liv Lorent’s much loved and critically acclaimed piece at Southside Main Hall, August 17th–28th (not 22nd) at 11.30am (running time 33 minutes).

Luxuria is an earthy, sensual piece tinged with sadness and an unashamed sense of the romantic. The work features all ten of Scottish Dance Theatre’s talented dancers and a passionate classical score. A majestic work that’s both witty and tender, Luxuria is fast becoming one of the company’s signature pieces.

Theatre Cryptic has also found a new venue, the George Square Theatre, where they will present The Trojan Woman on August 5-7 & 15 at 21.30, August 8 at 12.20, August 11-13 at 23.45, August 17 - 22 and 24 - 28 at 22.45.
