Stage TMA Awards
The nominees for the Stage Award for Special Achievement in Regional
Theatre, part of the Theatrical Management Association Awards (nominees
for which were announced last week),
have been announced. They are:
- Manchester property company Bruntwood for its sponsorship of the
Manchester International Festival and the Bruntwood Playwriting Competition
- Chicken Shed for its work setting up satellite ‘sheds’
across the country in locations such as Blackpool and Fife
- Tivoli Theatre Trust for its work trying to reopen the long dark
Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen
- Eastern Angles Theatre Company for 25 years of bringing high quality
theatre to the towns and villages of East Anglia
- Nottingham Playhouse’s Young Critics’ Circle Scheme for
encouraging youngsters to engage with theatre
- Northumberland Theatre Company for its touring work across the UK
and its commitment to Arts Council England’s Interact scheme
- a training and development programme for theatre professionals
The first three were put forward by The Stage judging panel and the
other nominated by readers of the newspaper.
