The National Theatre presents Martin McDonagh's viciously funny play

Highland Fling
Matthew Bourne (famous for his renowned male Swan Lake and

winged fairies and kilted laddies.

A hit when it opened on Broadway in 1943, this classic musical comedy
by Weill at last gets the full-scale British production it so richly
deserves from Opera North.

Opera North's production of Mozart's unparalleled masterpiece has
the wit, pathos, beauty and terror of a score that is evidence of

The Thieving Magpie
One of Rossini's most theatrical operas, The Thieving Magpie
is based on the true story of a French peasant girl convicted and
hung for theft. Too late it was discovered that a magpie, not the
girl, was the guilty party. Sung in English.

Jesus Christ Superstar
One of the longest running West End musicals of all time; just some
of the songs from this smash hit Rock Opera include I Don't Know
How To Love Him, Could We Start Again Please, Hosanna,
and of course Superstar. This is an amateur production.

Thoroughly Modern Millie
Based on the 1967 Oscar winning film this glittering, glamorous and
gloriously funny musical has been playing to packed houses since it
opened on Broadway in April 2002.
