Free ENB Tickets - in Wales

The Wales Millennium Centre is offering a pair of free tickets for English National Ballet's production of Manon at the Cardiff venue between 29th April and 2nd May to anyone called Manon.

Manon is a girl's name in Wales. It means 'wished-for-child' or 'queen, paragon of beauty'. The name is also popular in France, where it is a diminutive of Marie. Anyone whose name is Manon who would like to see the performance can claim a pair of free tickets by calling 08700 40 2000 and quoting the code 1825. You may be asked for identification to prove you are, in fact, called Manon.

Created for the Royal Ballet by Kenneth MacMillan in 1974, Manon has not been seen outside of London for twenty years and this is its first staging by English National Ballet. It is based on Manon Lescaut, the 1731 novel by Abb Prévost (which was also made into an opera by Puccini). It is danced to the music of Jules Massenet.
