WYP Young People's Auditions West Yorkshire Playhouse is offering 16 young people between the ages of 16 and 20 the opportunity to become part of the 25 strong cast of His Dark Materials, an epic fantasy adapted from Phillip Pullman’s award winning trilogy, which comes to the Playhouse from 28th May to 20th June. Open auditions will be held at the Playhouse on Saturday 21 March. Auditions will take place at West Yorkshire Playhouse on Saturday 21st March. There will be two workshops with 25 places in each. Auditionees must register at 10am for workshop 1 and at 1pm for workshop 2. Auditionees must be 16 years old before 28th May and not over 20 years old. They must not be taller than 5ft 7 inches in height. They must be available to attend all the rehearsal dates and performances as specified. It will be a physical workshop so they should come in clothes they can move in; there is no need to prepare although they may be asked to read. Auditionees must be familiar with the stories.
