Young Vic 40th Anniversary Season

Young Vic artistic director David Lan has announced the theatre's 40th anniversary season which will run from September 2010 to May 2011.

13 to 18 September
The Human Comedy
Based on William Saroyan’s 1943 novel with music by Galt MacDermot
A community production with a cast of 100
Main House
Set in a small California town during the Second World War, it centres on Homer, a telegram delivery boy carrying messages of love, joy and the sorrows of war. John Fulljames, artistic director of The Opera Group, directs.

On Ageing
By Fevered Sleep
A devised piece about time, change and ageing performed by children for adults. From the moment we’re born, we’re growing and we’re aging; nothing stays the same. David Harradine and Sam Butler direct.
