The first London Theatre Access Conference, held at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 22nd September, was a success, organisers say, with 120 delegates discussing changes already made to theatre accessibility, future targets, and the barriers that must be overcome to achieve them. The conference was organised by diasbility arts organisation Shape, Audiences London and SOLT, and Shape's chief executive, Steve Mannix, xommented, I was thrilled by the attendance at the event and the level of the discussion; it demonstrated a real understanding of the issues and a commitment to overcoming the barriers that are effectively barring disabled people from accessing the arts. A full report will be published later in the autumn. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
