Acorn Antiques to Close Next Month Victoria Wood's musical Acorn Antiques will close at the end of its current booking period, 21st May. At the press launch of the show last year, Wood said that the run would not be limited, although she did admitthat finding a replacement for Julie Walters (whose contract ends on 21st May) would be difficult. No replacement has been found. The show opened at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 19th February, after previewing from 31st January, to very mixed reviews but enormous popular appeal, and had the most expensive tickets for any West End show - £65 at weekends.
