Aerial festival returns to Birmingham

“One of the UK’s largest aerial and physical theatre festivals”, TILT23 will bring together “some of the world’s most renowned artists presenting jaw-dropping, breathtaking physical theatre and aerial performances”.

Celebrating its eighth year in Birmingham, TILT23 is produced by physical theatre company RoguePlay. Artists already announced for TILT23 include its producer Kim Wildborne, a specialist in silk and rope; Angeliki Nikolakaki from Greece who originally trained in ballet, modern jazz theatre and contemporary dance; Portugal-based Fabio Pinna; Michael Standen, an “international circus powerhouse” who hails from London's Centre for Circus Arts; and Rebecca Hannah who has taught in more than 16 countries.

Wildborne said, “we’re very excited to be back once again this year to offer our audiences and new fans the chance to experience performances from some of the most talented physical theatre and aerial performers in the world.”

TILT23 will run from Monday 10 until Sunday 16 July at West Midlands Circus and Creative Centre, Minerva Works, Digbeth which is within walking distance of Birmingham coach station and Birmingham New Street railway station. Further information is available at the Tilt Festival web site.
