Alexandra Burke has been presented with a seat plaque in the auditorium at Wolverhampton Grand in recognition of the number of people she has attracted to the theatre.

More than 24,000 people saw her play Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act early in 2017 and Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard across two weeks in 2015—two of the most successful touring musical theatre productions in the Grand’s history.

She said, “thank you to the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton—I’ve got my name on a seat and I’m so happy. I wish I could sit here and watch the show. I can’t but it’s great.”
