Smooth Faced Gentlemen, who won the best production award at Buxton Fringe last year with Romeo and Juliet, are back with Titus Andronicus.

In a “brutally farcical” take on Shakespeare’s bloodiest work, an all-female cast “highlights the contemporary resonance of this shocking Elizabethan revenge drama in a fresh, humorous and innovative production”.

The cast comprises Ashlea Kaye, Emma Nixon, Francesca Binefa, Henri Merriam, Leila Sykes, Madeline Gould, Stella Taylor and Vivienne Acheampong.

A team of more than 20 young creatives will also be involved in Titus Andronicus which will be performed in the Arts Centre Studio, St John’s Road, Buxton on Tuesday (16 July), Thursday (18 July) and Saturday (20 July) at 9PM and Wednesday (17 July) and Friday (19 July) at 7:30PM.
