Almeida Autumn Casting Casting has been announced for the autumn productions at Islington's Almeida Theatre:
Also announced is the cast of Adam Rapps one-man play Nocturne, which plays from 16th to 26th July and then goes to the Edinburgh Fringe where it runs at the Traverse from 1st to 10th August (no performance on 4th: preview on 31st July). Peter McDonald stars. Nocturne is part of the theatre's Summer Festival, which includes (10,11,13 July) a new opera, An Ocean of Rain, with music by Yannis Kyriakides and libretto by Daniel Danis, translated by Linda Gaboriau, and (28th July to 2nd August) Tiata Delights, six new plays by established and emerging African playwrights resident in the UK will be presented for the first time in performance readings underscored with live music integral to the African story-telling experience, including a brand new play written by 2008 Olivier Award winner Bola Agbaje (Gone Too Far!) with live music composition from James Lascelles.
