An opportunity in Northumberland for two young actors

Northumberland Theatre Company (NTC) is looking for two trainee actors for their first ever panto in therir new home at The Dovecot Centre in Amble, Northumberland, during December.

The company has had a lot of success and gained a good reputation for its encouraging and training new talent through InterACT, its previous award winning programme, and traineeships on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Grimm Tales and The Ugly Duckling.

They are looking for 2 trainee actors (minimum wage) to play the Prince (M or F) and Princess (F) in The Sleeping Beauty by Ben Crocker. Applicants must have good stage presence and excellent singing voice and be preferably North East based.

Rehearsals begin on 10 December and the show runs from 21 to 24 December (matinée on 24 December) and then from 28 to 31 December (matinée on 31 December).

This two trainees will join the company, learning and developing their craft ‘on the job’, working alongside experienced professionals. There will also be the possibility of additional skills training and career development.

The posts are full-time and will include weekend and evening working.
