Animal Farm - the Musical According to a report in the Daily Mail, Lee Hall and Elton John are working on a stage musical version of Orwell's Animal Farm. It has taken them about two years to get the rights and Hall estimates it will take a further two years to create the show. He is currently, he told the newspaper, writing lyrics. "I know that Elton likes to have the lyrics done and have them in front of him," he said, "so I'll work on a batch before I give him anything to look at. I would think it's going to take about two years before it's all ready to go." Now, he says, he is "deep into it, writing songs for pigs and other four-legged friends."
