Federico Garcia Lorca

Lorca Season at the Arcola

The Arcola Theatre in Dalston is to present a a tribute to Spanish playwright Federico Garcia Lorca on the 70th anniversary of his death at the hands of the Nationalists at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. Running from 24th July to 17th September, the season will include productions of some of Lorca's plays as well as readings and a Spanish play about Lorca.

A highlight of the season will be a production of Yerma directed by Helena Kaut-Howson and starring Kathryn Hunter.

A series of plays about the life and work of Frederico Garcia Lorca will be read in studio 2.
17th, 18th and 19th of August.
