Dateline: 29th March, 2006 Berkshire Seeks Edfringe Previews
The Berkshire Venues Consortium (South Hill Park, Bracknell; Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead; South Street, Reading & Corn Exchange, Newbury) are seeking four outstanding new pieces of theatre/comedy theatre to feature in their annual week of Edinburgh previews, Around the Fringes. To qualify, shows must be going to the Edinburgh Festival this year, and should also be 'new' shows. Work that has been performed as a finished piece, or that has toured previously will not be eligible. Each show will be performed once in each venue, from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd July 2006. Rehearsal/tech space will also be made available on Monday 17th & Tuesday 18th July if required. This is a great opportunity to try out new work in a supportive environment, as well as fine-tuning your get-ins/outs.
