Ellesmere Port-based Action Transport Theatre, an ACE National Portfolio Organisation, is looking for new board members (trustees) to help with its future development.

Ideal candidates for these voluntary, unpaid roles will have a keen interest in theatre for young people and the arts, enjoy working in a team and be attracted by the opportunity to develop Action Transport Theatre to the next level.

The company is looking for people with experience in arts and theatre, strategic finance and accounting, income generation, human resources, marketing and communication, schools engagement (current education practice and curriculum in both primary and secondary schools), IT and digital technology and local community engagement.

Victoria Symes, Chair of the Board, said, "we've got a lot of exciting opportunities in the next few years, and the Board will be making some really fundamental decisions about the direction of the company.

"Recruiting new Board members who are keen to share their knowledge and skills will help us to make sure that ATT's work and relationship with the local community is vibrant, flourishing and sustainable. And they get to develop their own skills and be involved in the creation of fantastic new theatre for young people at the same time: everybody wins."

For more information about the company and to download an application pack, go to the Action Transport web site or e-mail Karen Parry, General Manager. Closing date for completed applications is 27 October 2014. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted week commencing 3 November to arrange informal interviews.
