Avenue Q Reduces Prices

In an unprecedented move, the producers of Avenue Q (Noël Coward Theatre) have decided to re-price tickets at £10, £17.50, £27.50 and £35.00 for Monday to Thursday and Friday early evening performances.

Since opening in June 2006, Avenue Q has proved enormously popular with regular theatregoers but more importantly has also attracted a new and younger audience who do not go to the theatre on a regular basis. To continue to attract this audience, the producers have decided to introduce this new pricing structure.

Backed up by audience research carried out at the theatre, Monday to Thursday and Friday early evening performances have been re-priced at £35.00 top price, going down to £10.00. Friday late show and Saturday performance prices remain unchanged. These prices will be introduced from Jan 15th 2007.

Cameron Mackintosh says, “British audiences have embraced Avenue Q like in New York where it is now in its fourth sell-out year. I am delighted that the show has been discovered here by an audience that is not traditionally found in the West End and who are laughing their heads off at what is a truly original musical.”

In addition, Avenue Q booking period is now extended to January 2008.

Friday performance times are moving from 5.45pm and 8.45pm to 5.30pm and 8.30pm from Friday, February 9th 2007.
