Dance company BalletBoyz is to bring its production Life to Newcastle’s Northern Stage from 6 to 8 April.

Co-produced by Sadler’s Wells in association with artsdepot, the show features an original score and takes an “elegant, powerful and provocative look at life and death.” It features commissions by choreographers Javier de Frutos and Pontus Lidberg, as well as music by Henryk Görecki (Kleines Requiem für eine Polka) and a new commission from Ben Foskett.

It comes to Newcastle as part of a tour—the third of this production, which premièred at Sadler’s Wells on 20th April 2016—which also takes in Nottingham, Salford, Bristol, Inverness, Truro and Bromley where it closes on 25 May. The company will also embark on a North American and European tour in the New Year.
