Barrymore Takes Time off from Scrooge Michael Barrymore will not appear in the touring production of Scrooge when it moves to Oxford on 15th January. He will take at least seven days off, having been advised by a doctor that he must rest for that time. It is thought that the pressure caused by the reopening by the police of the investigation into the death of Stuart Lubbock at Barrymore's home in 2001 is the main cause of the fears about his health but it was also noted that he was clearly suffering from throat problems when the show opened at the Sunderland Empire on 5th January. A source close to Barrymore told the Sunday Mirror, "Michael has not been having a good time recently and he's got very run-down. He keeps getting a cold and he just can't shake it off." After Oxford the show is due to move to the Liverpool Empire (22nd January) and the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh (29th January). Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
