A group of comedians are to hold a benefit night with the proceeds going to Central Youth Theatre—“Wolverhampton’s leading youth theatre since 1983”.

Former youth theatre member Tom Parry, one third of comedy sketch group Pappy’s who appear on the BBC3 show Badults, has persuaded Greg Davies to headline Hilarity Charity Gala.

Pappy’s will also be on the bill as well as Katherine Ryan and another ex-youth theatre member, Celeste Dring—half of the comedy sketch group Lazy Susan. Daniel Kitson will compère.

Central Youth Theatre, which has members aged from 8 to 25, has struggled to survive because of funding cuts.

Hilarity Charity Gala will be staged at Wolverhampton Grand on Monday 8 June.
