Lucie Jones and Jodie Prenger are among the artists who will perform in a free concert to celebrate the tenth birthday of Leicester’s Curve.

Curve’s chief executive Chris Stafford and artistic director Nikolai Foster said, “Curve was built for the people of Leicester and Leicestershire and it’s fitting we’re throwing open our doors to welcome new and familiar friends to our concert Curve Live.

Alongside a day of activities for the entire family, Curve Live will celebrate our Made at Curve work from the past decade, but with an eye firmly on the future.

“We look forward to welcoming a hugely talented line-up of familiar Curve performers who’ll ensure our theatre receives a suitably rousing, one-night-only birthday concert.”

Lucie Jones played Elle Woods in Curve’s 2016 production of Legally Blonde the Musical while Jodie Prenger appeared at the theatre in Calamity Jane in 2015.

There will also be performances from Sam Bailey who played Betty in Kay Mellor’s Fat Friends the Musical in 2018, Dex Lee who took the role of Danny in Grease the Musical at Curve in 2016, the theatre’s associate artist Aakash Odedra, Peter Polycarpou who played Fagin in Oliver! in 2015, Curve’s over-55 dancers and its young company.

Curve Live will be staged on Sunday 26 August.
