Billy Youth Theatre

In October last year, schools and youth organisations across the country were invited to take up the challenge of staging a production of Billy Elliot in their local school or community.

115 schools and youth organisations from across the country have taken on the challenge of producing the specially shortened version by Lee Hall and with Martin Koch (Musical Supervision and Orchestrations) and now they will have the opportunity to stage excerpts from their productions in various regional centres and selected groups will be invited to perform at a special Billy Youth Theatre gala at the Victoria Palace on Sunday 18th July.

The regional showcases will be at:

  • The Lowry, Salford (9th May)
  • The Gala, Durham (16th May)
  • Wycombe Swan (22nd May)
  • Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh (8th June)
  • Birmingham Rep (12th June)
  • Brighton Dome (19th June)
  • Curve, Leicester (19th June)
