Award-winning theatre company inamoment will this week be presenting a new play by Frank Bramwell which looks at the after-effects of last year’s Birmingham riots.

Kicking Off looks at the stories behind the headlines and finds there’s much more than meets the eye.

Says Bramwell: “We’ve brought together ten actors to examine the riots—an event that still prompts debate in our communities. Will we see riots like this again? This is the question the play dares to ask!”

Heart Productions, the parent company of inamoment, has toured Birmingham-born writer Bramwell’s work to London, Edinburgh and Buxton over the past ten years.

Kicking Off takes to the stage at the Old Joint Stock Theatre, Temple Row West, Birmingham on Friday and Saturday.
