Dateline: 29th December, 2003 Bob Monkhouse Comedian Bob Monkhouse has died, aged 75. He discovered that he was suffering from prostate cancer two and a half years ago and finally lost his battle with his illness last night, when he died peacefully in his sleep. As always, he made a joke of his troubles: "I saw a specialist who asked me 'Are you familiar with the phrase faecal impaction?' I said I think I saw that one with Glenn Close and Michael Douglas," he said at the time. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
