Borderline Tour Fo

BORDERLINE THEATRE COMPANY
present

mistero buffo

By Dario Fo
Directed by Gerard Kelly
Starring Andy Gray

On tour from 25th April to 24th May

'…a unique hybrid of story-telling and comedy…' Daily Mail

Award-winning Borderline Theatre Company present Nobel Prize winning playwright Dario Fo's mistero buffo, starring Andy Gray and directed by Gerard Kelly.

In Fo's scurrilous version of Biblical events, Andy Gray leads us on a hilarious journey through The Raising of Lazarus, The Marriage Feast at Cana, The Blind Man and The Cripple and Pope Boniface VIII. In this new adaptation of what has been hailed as Fo's most important and successful production, Andy Gray brings to life a rich cast of characters, taking swipes in passing at modern politics and world religion.

Andy Gray, fresh from his role in the Royal Lyceum's ART, will play all the parts in this mad extravaganza because of the meanness of the management!

2003 has started off fantastically well for Borderline with Tally's Blood by Ann Marie Di Mambro being a huge success with sell-out performances throughout the tour that was rapturously received by audiences all over Scotland.

Today Borderline exists as one of the premier Scottish touring theatre companies who have consistently presented quality theatre and worked with the best talent around. In fact a roll call of past Borderline employees reads like a veritable "who's who" of Scottish Theatre. Over the years the company has toured all over Scotland, appeared at the Festival Fringe 22 times and developed solid audience support. This success is entirely thanks to the efforts of the veritable legion of; actors, writers, directors, designers stage managers, technicians, administrative, marketing personnel and venue personnel who have allied their creative skills with the company to deliver an evening's entertainment which audiences could enjoy in a theatre or hall somewhere in Scotland.
