Work-in-Progress, Bound Feet Blues—A Life Told In Shoes, has a single performance in London as part of the South East Asian Arts Festival 2014.

Written and performed by bestselling Chinese/Malaysian-born novelist Yang-May Ooi, the solo show looks at what the ancient Chinese tradition of footbinding can tell us about the role of women today and explores themes of female desirability, identity and empowerment.

Bound Feet Blues—A Life Told In Shoes takes place at the Tristan Bates Theatre on 13 October. It is suitable for age 14 and over. Tickets are currently sold out.
