Brighton Calling!

The 2005 Brighton Festival Fringe is calling for participants.

In 2004 Brighton hosted 800 events in 350 venues making the Fringe the biggest annual arts event in England. Anyone can put on an event in the Fringe regardless of experience, making it very similar to its big brother, the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2004 the range of events included the Ladyboys of Bangkok, The Scissor Sisters, Hedwig and the angry Inch, the Rap Canterbury Tales, The Dance & Movement Festival, a literary lunch with Tony Benn, The Natural Born Skaters - Skateboard Festival, 2004 Perrier Nominee Joanna Neary & Gered Mankowitz's Rolling Stones & Beatles photography exhibition.

The 2005 Brighton Festival Fringe takes place between 7 - 29 May and will launch on Thursday 24th March with a range of exciting new events, facilities and a superb new website. In the meantime we can announce we have signed a deal with the Joogleberry Playhouse to host 'The Green Room' an exclusive performer's daytime facility to relax and network in.

The deadline for registering is: Classical music & Visual arts 17th January 05; Other art forms: 7th February 05.
