Potter Revival at the Bridewell 1066 Productions are to present a revival of Dennis Potter's Brimstone and Treacle at London's Bridewell Theatre from 13th July to 7th August. Mr and Mrs Bates live a life of petty squabble of comic proportions, as they care for their disabled daughter Pattie. That is until the disturbingly charismatic Martin enters their world. Devilishly handsome, cloyingly polite and eager to please, he appears to be the answer to all their prayers. Directed by Alistair Green, whose work includes: 'GRIMMS 2003' at Greenwich Playhouse (" a wholesome nastiness that is rather nice." The Guardian, " a pleasingly varied collection of stories to gently chill the spines and tickle the funny bones of older children and adults alike." The Times), Steven Berkoff's 'Kvetch' at BAC ("...startling...hilarious...sad, pathetic, repulsive and very amusing...real feel for the darker textures." Time Out), 'A Doll's House' at the Rose and Crown Theatre ("superbly shaped and paced." The Stage), all for Horla Theatre Company.
Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
