The new Everyman in Liverpool has won the award for Best Public Service Building at the LABC Building Excellence Awards Grand Final.
A panel of industry experts judged a list of the highest quality projects from around England and Wales to reward the best in technical innovation, sustainability and design. The award was granted to the Everyman for its inclusive design and environmental credentials.
The new Everyman combines original features such as a basement bistro with new facilities including rehearsal and workshop spaces and dedicated facilities for working with young people and community groups.
The façade, representing the people of Liverpool, promotes the role of the theatre for everyone in the local community.
