Buxton Opera House goes for sunshine in summer

Corrinne Wicks appears in The Devil at Midnight at Buxton on 6 and 7 May
Bob Golding is Morecambe from 22 until 24 May
Avenue Q is at the Opera House from 19 until 21 June

The puppet musical Avenue Q, a tribute to Eric Morecambe and the 50th anniversary production of Joe Orton’s black comedy Entertaining Mr Sloane are among the drama highlights at Buxton Opera House over the next few months.

Talking Scarlet will perform The Devil at Midnight, featuring Andrew Paul and Corrinne Wicks, on 6 and 7 May.

Bob Golding brings sunshine to the Opera House as Morecambe from 22 until 24 May before Creative Cow visits the Derbyshire venue with Oliver Goldsmith’s She Stoops to Conquer on Friday 30 May.

London Classic Theatre are Entertaining Mr Sloane on 4 and 5 June, winner of Tony awards for best musical, best score and best book, Avenue Q, a Sell a Door Theatre Company presentation, is in Buxton from 19 until 21 June and Eric Chappell’s Rising Damp tours to the Opera House from 23 until 25 June.

Other attractions include Motionhouse with Broken on 8 May, Birmingham Royal Ballet’s mixed bill of Quatrain, Bitesized Ballet and Façade on 20 and 21 May and Opera UK’s Cosi fan tutte by Mozart on 11 June.
