Not a Lot of People Know That Rumours are circulating that Michael Caine, a Londoner himself, who was born in Rotherhithe and grew up in Camberwell, could make an appearance in the BBC soap EastEnders. He has admitted to watching the programme and says he thinks Barbara Windsor is "great" but has never been offered a part. "If they did, I might just say yes," he said. A spokesperson for the BBC was not dismissive, suggesting that he would fit in perfectly and could just arrive in Walford to visit old friends.
