Creativity Across Media: Entertainment and Originality Awards

The Creativity Across Media: Entertainment and Originality Awards, or CAMEO Awards as they are also known, recognise achievement in the field of book adaptation, celebrating work that has been transformed from book to stage, screen, game, TV or audio.

Entries for the 2018 awards may be submitted by individuals or organisations in the UK for any of the award categories:

  • Book to Film Award
  • Book to Game Award (inclusive of apps and entertainment)
  • Book to Stage Award
  • Book to TV Award
  • Book to Audio Award (new)

The expert judges, who include Charlotte Longstaff of Ambassador Group, John Lomas-Bullivant of Kickback Media and Liz Rosenthall of Power to the Pixel, will assess applications in terms of quality and success, these being assessed by reference to such criteria as box office ticket sales, reviews, press coverage, critical acclaim, social media profile, peer-to-peer recommendation and industry prize nominations.

Entries for this year's Awards close on 5 February. Shortlists will be announced in March, and the winner will be announced on 9 April to coincide with this year’s London Book & Screen Week.
