CandoCo Easter Lab 2005

CandoCo Dance Company will be hosting an International School of Dance from Wednesday 23rd - Monday 28th March 2005 at the Stoke Mandeville stadium, Buckinghamshire.

The company's unique, residential training programmes provide a rare opportunity for dancers across the world to participate in an intensive, integrated course, working under the guidance of CandoCo. A chance to meet others in the field; share knowledge; develop skills; and experiment with ideas. Past participants have even been known to go on and join the company!

The course focuses on the where, what and how of integrated dance. It facilitates the explosion of preconceptions, the improvement of practice and contribution to current debates about dance, integration, architecture, access and environment.

This programme of training is designed for artists working across the full spectrum of dance, with the main emphasis on investigation and exploration. Participants can select from two groups to join - First Time Explorers (with little/no experience of integrated dance) or Risk Takers (those wishing to push beyond their current experience of integrated practice). The two groups will work separately for the intensive six-day period, although with potential for daily exchange.

CandoCo are delighted to be returning this unique event to the state of the art Stoke Mandeville Stadium. Home to The British wheelchair Sports Foundation, this leisure complex, provides accessibility to the highest quality for all users.
