Dance Auditions with CandoCo

CandoCo, the world's leading integrated dance company is pleased to announce two forthcoming sets of auditions:

• the first for dancers to join the main company, creating and performing new work for touring, with choreographers Fin Walker and Athina Vahla
• the second to join the unique, one year Foundation Course for disabled students preparing for a career in dance, academic year 2005/6.

CandoCo Dance Company is currently at an exciting stage of artistic development, pending new work being created for the 2005/6 Season and UK and international touring. The company is looking for highly motivated dancers who wish to work in integrated practice. Required for application are:

• either dance training or extraordinary natural performance style and
• teaching and communications skills, to fully participate in the extensive programme of ambassadorial education work worldwide.

In keeping with the 'can do' approach of the company, CandoCo are willing to consider applications based on talent as well as a range of dance experience. Previous company members have come from the Australian ballet… to the postal service! Auditions are by invite only, subsequent to successful application. Deadline for application is 11th April and auditions are 23rd and 24th April. If successful, start date of contract is 30th May 2005.

For the DfES funded Foundation Course in Dance, a taster day will be offered on Friday 22nd April which is open to all who are interested in an informal opportunity, to gain more information about the course and the integrated teaching/learning approach. The deadline for applications is 29th April and auditions are 14th May. The course itself is free and students will be eligible for maintenance support, with 12 places being available.
