The Poor Priests’ Hospital, the Canterbury Heritage Museum, is to be developed as an arts and heritage centre under the wing of The Marlowe Theatre.

Retaining Canterbury’s unique heritage is key to the plans for the building which include a young visitors’ programme incorporating a digital project, and other innovative ways to engage young people.

The Marlowe will collaborate with Workers Of Art on theatre productions and spoken word performances, supporting local writers and theatre makers through new and existing programmes.
