Liverpool’s Royal Court will use their capital grant of £551,200 to make the theatre fit for the future by improving access, upgrading equipment and improving its environmental sustainability.
The Arts Council England Capital Investment Programme is for cultural organisations to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic.
Solar panels are planned for the Royal Court roof and a new electric van will be purchased to replace the current diesel version. A long-planned air cooling system can now be installed.
