Matt Barber and Victor McGuire have been added to the cast of Breakfast at Tiffany's, the UK and Ireland tour of which will start at Curve, the Leicester theatre has disclosed.

Barber, who played Atticus Aldridge in The TV series Downton Abbey, will play Fred while McGuire, who has appeared in the TV sitcoms Trollied and Bread, will play Joe Bell.

They will be joined by Robert Calvert (Doc), Naomi Cranston (Mag), Charlie De Melo (José), Tim Frances (Rusty Trawler / editor), Andrew Joshi (Yunioshi), Melanie La Barrie (Mme Spanella), Sevan Stephan (OJ Berman / Dr Goldman), Katy Allen and Andy Watkins.

As previously announced, singer Pixie Lott will make her theatre debut as Holly Golightly from 3 March until 30 April and from 13 to 25 June. She will also take the role at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket from 30 June to 17 September. She will share the role with Verity Rushworth.

Truman Capote's novella has been adapted for the stage by Richard Greenberg. Curve's artistic director Nikolai Foster directs.

Foster said, "it's testament to the beauty of Capote's imagination, the extraordinary characters he created and Greenberg's faithful adaptation that we've assembled such an accomplished company of actors to bring this dazzling play to life."

Production design is by Matthew Wright, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Mic Pool and wig design by Campbell Young. Original music is by Grant Olding.

Breakfast at Tiffany's runs at Curve from Thursday 3 March until Saturday 12 March. It then tours to Canterbury, Leeds, Salford, Birmingham, Southampton, Aberdeen, Nottingham, Bath, Glasgow, Edinburgh, High Wycombe, Dublin, Plymouth and the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
